Anthony Bridgerton is the first Bridgerton child and son. He is also the older brother of the Earl of Eastbourne and the Grand Duchess of Hastings.
History
Anthony is the first child born out of the union between Edmund and Violet Bridgerton. As the first born son, he was forced to assume the head of the family when his father died. Between his younger sister, Eloise, who was at his father side when it happened, and his mother healing from the grief, Anthony had to drown his own tears to remain strong for the family.
Now, more than ten years later, he had to assume a new role and get married to a lady. When he met Edwina, he thought her the perfect choice, especially because she was leading to be the Queen's favorite debutante in the next season. However, after meeting Kate, he is forever in a doubt about who he should marry, and for what reasons it should happen.
Personality
Anthony is by far the Bridgerton that's most stubborn and thickheaded. So much so that, more often than not, he fails to take into consideration other people's feelings before imposing his own. Still, just like all the Bridgerton men, he is charming and blessed with charisma and good looks.
As the head of the family since eighteen, Anthony became serious and assumed a more paternal figure for his siblings except Benedict, instead of just being an older brother. He obviously care and loves his family a lot, hence why he makes such hard decisions.

ROMANTIC
Kate Sharma — Dame Kate
Sister of Anthony's fiancée. They met before Anthony was introduced to her sister, and he was attracted to her. However, after a while, she heard him speaking foul things about fellow debutantes, and found him lacking to be her sister's husband. He now needs to prove to her that he can be a good husband, even with all the doubts regarding his marriage to Edwina.
Edwina Sharma — Lady Edwina
Anthony's fiancée. She is certain that she loves Anthony and her love is returned, wanting him to be accepted by her elder sister, Kate, overprotective who doesn’t like the Viscount for God knows what reason. Edwina, however, doesn’t understand truly if she feels attracted to him or if she was molded to be attracted to him.
Siena Rosso — Soprano Lover
Anthony's longtime lover. Siena is strong and flightful, so she knows what awaits her when Anthony gets married to his current fiancée. However, she's been noticing that he has been more distant, and his visits have been scarce. Still, Siena always has a plan B, ready for anything that's coming her way.
Anthony's younger brother and closest sibling. Due to their closer age, Anthony always felt more like a brother to Benedict instead of a father as he tended to feel when related to his other siblings, especially the younger ones. That is one of the reasons that, sometimes, they seem much closer than they are from the others.
Colin Bridgerton — Earl of Eastbourne
Anthony's younger brother. Anthony is stubborn and thickheaded, even when he is just trying to help. Colin and him used to argue a lot, especially because he proves to be tough when seeing other visions besides his own. However, he was also great help when Colin received his new title, creating a stronger bond between them.
Violet Bridgerton — Dowager Viscountess
Anthony's mother. When his father died, she was wrecked with grief. She has always been a good mother, doing her best to raise them all, but sometimes Anthony forgets that she's also a human, and the wreckage look on her face months after his father's passing is something that haunts Anthony to this day.
Daphne Basset — Grand Duchess of Hastings
Anthony's younger sister. When she debuted the previous season, Anthony's overprotectiveness almost left her on the edge, and it only worsened when she was ruined by her husband and Anthony decided to go on a duel with the man. Still, even though Daphne is constantly mad at him for his foolishness, she knows he's trying his best and loves her brother dearly.
Eloise Bridgerton — Dame Eloise
Anthony's younger sister. By far, his relationship with Eloise is the most... Complicated. Eloise is politically conscient and socialized, thus having strong opinions and constantly sharing them. For a man, they don't strike him so much, but as a brother, it worries him if the wrong people hears it, preoccupied her thoughts are far too radical. Being stubborn herself, Eloise doesn't understand his protectiveness and they tend to argue a lot.
Francesca Bridgerton — Miss Bridgerton
Anthony's younger sister. She is the one he's more distant to, because she tends to be introvert and reclusive. Still, Anthony appreciates her calm and consistency, especially when he already have to deal with the other's loudness and chaos.
Gregory Bridgerton — Viscount Bridgerton
Anthony's younger brother. Probably the one that looks up to him the most. As the youngest brother, and having such a huge gap in age from all of the others, Gregory is just like Francesca and Hyacinth in having Anthony more as a pathernal figure than an older brother.
Hyacinth Bridgerton — Miss Hyacinth
Anthony's youngest sister. She wasn't even born when their father died, so she was a baby raised by other children and a broken mother.
FRIENDSHIPS
Simon Basset — Grand Duke of Hastings
Anthony's brother-in-law through Daphne and an old friend. They went to Oxford together and became friends due to their old similar lifestyles. However, when Simon started courting his sister, they became hostile to each other, almost killing themselves in a duel. Now, however, they are best friends again and treat each other as brothers from different mothers.
Thomas Dorset
Anthony's old friend. They also went to Oxford together, along with Simon. The three of them used to be very close and recently that bond has been mended again. He is a nice gentleman, though not exactly the best bachelor. Still, Anthony is good friends with him.
