Felicity Whistledown is the youngest daughter of Portia Ponsonby and Archibald Featherington, as well as the younger twin sister of Penelope Whistledown. She is Princess Macaria, the youngest princess of the Three Princesses of the Muse House.
History
Felicity was raised in the Entertainment House owned by her grandmother, Madam Eunice. Differently from her sister, who decided to live with a neighbor, Felicity stayed and learned since she was young what her future entailed. Though her grandmother was hesitant at first to allow her to enter this business, she made sure to show she was ready.
As the youngest, she received extra protection, usually being assigned to the shy and kind gentleman, mostly the ones who wanted just a company to talk to. Felicity was happy to help either way.
When her sister disappeared, Felicity spent weeks without working, her heart full of worry for her. Instead, she decided to take Penelope's place in taking care of the sick courtesean, focusing most and all of her attention in healing Nerina to keep her alive until her sister returned.
Such proximity made her feel her affections landing on a familiar face.
Personality
Felicity is social eloquent and talkative. She likes getting attention and is always eager to start a conversation, becoming a social butterfly brimming with curiosity. She was not as feisty and sharp as her sister, even though they do share some similarities. Selfshily, Felicity always wanted Penelope to work with her because, this way, she might feel less lonely.
The period her sister disappeared was the most she stayed quiet, and she didn't even stay quiet, keeping one-sided conversations with Nerina and, sometimes, speaking to Phillip, but still refusing to do any work until her sister is found.
Relationships
ROMANTIC
Phillip Anderson — Mayfair's Apothecary
Felicity knows Phillip since they were children, always seeing him as the only man trustworthy between the chaos in Mayfair. However, she had mostly seen him as a nerdy guy who spent a lot of time with plants and took great care of her sister. But when they started talking more, she ended up blooming attraction for his kindness, developing a crush for him.
Felicity's older twin sister. Born on the same day, almost at the same time, but their personalities and appearances were different enough. Even though they grew up in different houses, they still grew up closer to each other, especially during their learning years in the Muse House. Penelope is her confidante and best friend, more than her sister. She's as overprotective over her as Penelope is with Felicity herself. That is why her absense striked her so badly.
Cordelia Whistledown — Princess Nerina
Felicity's aunt. She was the one who became Penelope and Felicity's wet nurse in their first years of life, creating a closer bond of family before she ended up with a seemingly incurable disease. Cordelia was also the one who taught Penelope and Felicity to read, write, play some instruments and sing along with the courteseans and Madam Eunice, so they are quite attached to their aunt, the way they should be to their mother.
Eunice Whistledown — Madam Eunice
She is Felicity's grandmother. Coming from Greece, she fell for the charms of someone from high society who broke her heart not only once, but twice. She is a strong, independent owner who now do her best to stop her daughters (the courteseans) from falling for the same mistakes she did. She only regrets not being able to do so with her oldest daughter.
She is Felicity (and Penelope's) biological mother. Even though she gave birth to the twins, she had never been particularly close to neither. Hardly came to visit them in Mayfair and basically chose high society instead of her blood. Felicity says that she has forgiven Portia for abandoning them, but she doesn't forgive her for the pain that she caused in her sister for her absence.
Archibald Featherington — Baron Featherington
Archibald only found out about the twins when they were two years, and he tried to buy them out of the Muse House. While her sister doesn't like him, Felicity is neutral to his existence and presence. She would never accept the life he promises them since their youth, however, because it doesn't have space for the people she most love in it.
FRIENDSHIPS
Prudence Whistledown — The First Princess, Iliana
She helped raised the twins, even though she was no more than twelve when she arrived at the Muse House. Felicity--no one, actually--knows much about Prudence's story before she arrived in the Entertainment House, since she only said that she escaped a worst fate. Prudence became a sense of leader in the house, becoming a younger version of the Madam herself. She is also the leader of the Three Princesses and treats Felicity like a younger sister.
Philippa Whistledown — The Second Princess, Thisbe
Philippa is the one closer to Felicity, as she has a younger mind than body. She was born and raised in the Muse House, with her mother being a former courtesean. Now, her mother works for Madam Eunice in the kitchen of the Muse House, responsible for feeding the courteseans and their partners for the night. Felicity enjoys Philippa's company because she tends to be more sincere about their life.
