Marina Thompson is the fiancée of Colin Bridgerton, the Earl of Eastbourne.
History
Marina is from the rural part of England, and she hasn't been very interested on the marriage mart of the urban area. However, when her parents received the opportunity of joining their only daughter to a member of the Bridgerton family, they couldn't let it pass, especially since she was the diamond of her first season out, in 1813.
She had tried to be interested in her fiancé, however her heart already belonged to someone else. Also a Lord, also titled, but not as high rank as Colin. Marina still let her feelings speak louder and gave herself to George Crane, a Baronet. Still, she was not able to escape the contract and she's still forced to marry the Earl of Eastbourne unless she gets a better offer.
Personality
Marina is cunning and smart. She is also ambitious, but mostly she only cares about what she cares. Turning out to be a little arrogant, she is not exactly mean, but if anyone stands in her way, she won't think twice before she ruin them.
Marina's lover and romantic interest. They met when they were young, but it was only recently that their story blossomed into love, and one they weren't willing to give up on.
Colin Bridgerton — Earl of Eastbourne
Marina's fiancée, although there are no feelings involved, and both of them are aware of it. Marina was chosen to be his bride due to being a favorite debutante for the Queen on her first season out. Now, three years after, she was arranged to marry him. They are friendly enough around each other, but Marina has never shown such enthusiasm in his presence and, well, Colin wanted more than just a superficial relationship.
